That also means that there are weekly reasons to celebrate! The husband's favorite team is the Redskins; and we've been lucky enough to catch a few games at FedEx field. Two years ago, we went to an early game and had a tailgate breakfast out of the back of my car.
Homemade ham & cheese croissants sandwiches, sausage and egg biscuits, brownies, kettle chips & chocolate covered pretzels made a tasty feast to go with an abundance of pigskins and beer.
Last year, we hosted a Chili & Beer Football Kickoff. My favorite part was the chili condiment bleachers...and the Berger cookies! (Around here we're a little bit DC, a little bit Baltimore)
We don't currently plan to host anything specific for football season this year, but we may be going to tailgate for a game this weekend. Or I might surprise the husband with a little pigskin feast this Sunday. In any case, I've been collecting plenty of inspiration over at my Pinterest board "Football Footbal!"
