What Makes Me Smile

I'm expanding again and participating in MamaKat's Writing Workshop.  My prompt this week: Aside from your kids, pets, your husband, your coffee and your wine...what makes you smile?
Yesterday I planted some new daylilies and a new azalea in the front yard (yay for two good naps in the morning!).  We've completely gutted the front yard years ago and are slowly building back a fabulous - low maintenance-garden that blooms from Spring through fall.  It's taken a lot of research and planning and is still far from finished; but I love the feeling of accomplishment when something pretty is done/added to our house!
Speaking  of a pretty house...this may make me a total nerd but I get a huge smile every other Friday.   Cleaning Lady Day.  For about 5 minutes every two weeks the house is perfectly, beautifully clean.  No clutter on the kitchen island.  No piles of laundry waiting to be put away.  No toys waiting to be tripped on.  Ahhh...the only time faux pine scent is actually attractive!
