{Featured Follower} Mastering Mommy Brain

I'm so happy to introduce to you today a fantastic blogger as part of the Featured Follower series.  Dana, over at Mastering Mommy Brain, is like most of us - just trying to make it through and enjoy every day she can.  /her blog is filled with recipes and stories of parenthood that I think we can all relate to.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. Tell us a little about yourself. I am a mom of 2 who works full time as a project manager. My husband and I have been married for 4 years. I love the outdoors, spending time with the kids (doing absolutely anything!), cooking, attempting crafts, and watching anything funny on TV!
2. Where are you located? (e.g. East Coast, Midwest, Canada, Australia): I am an East Coast girl through and through!
3. What inspired you to start blogging? I have sometimes felt intimidated by some of the "perfect" sites out there...I wanted to share with people some real mom moments, experiences, and give people a place to find comfort when they go through some of the tough mom moments. My biggest blog goal is to try to build a community where a mom can log on, read something, and say, "that could have been me", or, "wow, someone else feels the same way that I do!:
4. Of all your posts, which is your favorite? I have not been blogging long, but my favorite post was this one: Letter to Working Moms. I feel like it really captured a lot of my thoughts over the last couple of years. I was overwhelmed by the feedback I received from people too, who said how much they could relate to what I had written.
5. Describe your dream job: Honestly, this is a tough one for me...eek. I think if I could answer this, my life would be easier. I really do enjoy my current job now though. I also am very lucky to work with a lot of great people as well, which helps in any role!
6. What is your favorite party trend at the moment?  I think its a party trend...but I love customizable invites. I feel like it sets the party off in a special way right from the start.
7. What is your go-to party item? (i.e. food, craft or whatever) I have recently discovered the pull string pinatas - I am a HUGE fan of these. After seeing a little girl so bummed at her own party when she saw Dora's face get bashed around, I think these are genius! I also love the pin the tail games - I have made this go with any theme....pin the bow on minnie mouse, pin the horn on the triceratops, pin the stem on the pumpkin....i am so not creative, but the kids seem to love it, and it keeps everyone happy!!! In terms of recipes, I really love this mac and cheese bite recipe - it is a huge hit at every party we throw.
8. Do you read? What's your hot read right now? I don't have a ton of time to read, so I mostly stick with what everyone has been talking about. I have recently read the Hunger Games and Shades of Grey trilogies...
9. Spread the love! What are your top five favorite blogs right now? Two blogs I have been reading for a while are Richmond Thrifter and Daily Cup of Fitness. I love the ideas from Richmond Thrifter and Daily Cup of Fitness has amazing healthy lifestyle tips. I always check out Copy Cat Chic and the Centsational Girl, and swoon over their design tastes!  Rage Against the Minivan has been a fantastic read for me as well...
Thanks Dana for sharing more about yourself and your inspiration.  I look forward to reading more of your stories and experiences in the future!
