{Real Parties} Mother's Day Brunch

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day.  As I mentioned last week, we had a small family brunch planned.  This was probably one of the simplest events I've put together so far.  I had fun with attempting printables and trying lots of new recipes.

The Menu:
Assorted Red & Sparkling Wines (not pictured)
Fruit Punch & Orange Juice
Assorted Cheeses with Fresh Bread & Crackers
Cinnamon Buns
Broccoli Quiche
Salted Nutella Croissants
Caprese Salad Spoons
Lavender Shortbread
French Toast Mini-Cupcakes with Maple Swiss Buttercream
Rose and Champagne Macarons

I wish there were more photos to share, but I decided not to over-stress the fact that most of the photos didn't turn out!  There are some fun treatments you can't quite see that I'll be going over in the next couple of weeks (example: the hand-painted plates in the 3-tier server!).  I'll also be sharing recipes and my macaron-making experience later.

For now, I'm just going to leave you with a couple pictures of what made this Mother's Day so special:

  3. @ Jackie - It looks like I'll be doing several posts about making macarons. I'll definitely include the source for the recipe that created those amazing rose cookies (seriously...a.ma.zing)

@Paula - Thanks so much! It looks so small now compared to when I was putting it together. Who knew?!
